How nervous system work



Nervous system work for co-ordinating the voluntary and involuntary actions of the body. It work by two sub-system,


  1. Central nervous system 
  2. Peripheral nervous system 
    1. Somatic nervous system 
    2. Autonomic nervous system 





  • Central nervous system :- It consist of brain and spinal cord. CNS is a powerhouse of producing massage for voluntary and involuntary actions of body. It stimulate various body activities.

  • Peripheral nervous system:- It is consist of vertebral column through which neurons are spread over all body parts. It is divided in two main system somatic and autonomic nervous system.
      • Somatic nervous system:- It co-ordinate message of skin, muscles, tendons, joints, eyes, tongue, ears, skeletal muscles
      • Autonomic nervous system:- It carry message to  glands, smooth muscle, cardiac muscle, stimulating glands and senses of the body.


Disorder  

  • Epilepsy:- In this, patient suffer from convulsions due over neuronal stimulation. 
  • Meningitis:- It is inflammation of meninges that are protecting covering of brain and spinal cord. 
  • Parkinsons disease:- It is a degenerative disorder of old people characterized by abnormal muscle contraction and small tremors.
  • Huntington disease: In this degeneration of neurons occur resulting severe dementia.
